Boys Varsity Soccer
Those wild coyotes came alive and went on the hunt yesterday.  The boy’s soccer team scored 4 goals against those fine young men from Hoosick Falls. It was a tough game as Hoosick Falls must’ve seen the storm coming and struck first and scored a goal quickly as the game commenced.  But our boys reacted like a cornered animal and roared back and took down their prey as they peppered the goal with countless attempts and then finally breaking through. Kasey Billert led the charge with ample support from Danny and Cody Hunt. Superb passing from Dylan Lambert pushed the team forward.  Solid defensive pressure was applied by Peyton Labonte, Gabe Colin, and Josh Bosso. The magical motion of Conner Voltra can’t be described, it has to be seen, as he moved around and played multiple positions on the field. If you want to see this in person- the boys are taking on Mechanicville on Thursday at 4:30 down in our home away from home, the den in New Lebanon.  Come cheer them on as this will be the toughest game so far this season.

 Modified Cross Country
The Berlin Modified Cross Country team went out to Hoosick Valley last night and made an impressive showing. 8th Graders Aidan Van Dyk and Layne Chaykowski-Jewett were in the top of the pack with a finishing time of 11:49 for Aidan and 12:51 for Layne. Jayli Capasso finished with a time of 15:26 in her second ever race. Great job modified!

Boys JV Soccer
The boys Junior Varsity soccer team defeated Stillwater yesterday 4-1.  The team played an outstanding game as Gabe Hart and Chris Shorter contributed goals.

Varsity Cross Country
The varsity xc team beat Hoosick Valley yesterday. Matt Kluck led the way for the boys finishing first with Collin Douglas right behind him finishing second. Michael Loughlin continues to impress finishing third while newcomer Dan Hendricks had a great finish to cap off his first race. The girls were led by Elsie Corbett who finished 2nd but the best race of the day came from Sadie Giumarra who looked determined throughout the race finishing just over 21 minutes. Samantha Rokjer closed the deal to help the team claim victory. The teams travels to Plattsburgh this weekend for the pre-state meet. The girls are #10 in the state and look to make the first of 2 trips to Plattsburgh this year.

Modified Girls Volleyball
Modified Girls volleyball played Stillwater’s A team for our opening match last night. We lost the match but scored 43 points overall. Team captain, Destiny Wagner, did an awesome job leading her team with 3 kills. Jasmine Gates had a successful 4 point run of serves. Alana Zuke achieved serving success. Sarah Roy woke up the beast inside and had several saved digs. Special thanks to our Team Manager this year, Brianna Scott, who quickly picked up on the scoring process and Alexis Kahn who helped out as line judge. The girls play Tamarac at home Friday.
