Berlin CSD is excited to welcome elementary art teacher Michelle MacDonald to the district. Learn more about our new teacher in her own words.
I went to SUNY Purchase for my undergraduate work, received a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in woodcut and printmaking. I completed my graduate work at The College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY, and received a Master of Science in Art Education. I hold a New York State Permanent Public School Teacher Certificate. I also have a Massachusetts Initial Teacher License for Visual Art.
I have been an art teacher at Lanesborough Elementary School for the past five years. Several years before, I taught art at William Lenoir Middle School, in North Carolina. I have worked in the restaurant business for several years, as well.
I enjoy hiking, gardening, swimming, and cooking. I also love to work on stained glass and painting projects. I enjoy spending time with my family. I have two children; my son is 13 in 8th grade and my daughter is 11 in 6th grade. We have a lot of fun playing board games, baking together, and watching movies.
