Student holding certificate at art showThe reception for the annual Questar III High School Invitational Art Exhibit occurred Thursday evening, April 6 at Hudson Valley Community College. Three students’ work was accepted this year for the juried show: a graphic design piece by Alyssa Bierwirth (Grade 12), an oil painting by Elysia Mars (Grade 12) and a digital photograph by Haley Chaykowski-Jewett (Grade 10).
This year, Berlin was recognized! Alyssa Bierwirth was awarded with an Honorable Mention certificate, as well as a gift card to Arlene’s Art Supply in Albany, which will serve her well as an art student undergrad at SUNY New Paltz this fall.
This exhibit is an annual opportunity for Berlin High School’s art students to compete with many surrounding school districts including: Averill Park, Brittonkill, Cairo-Durham, Coxsackie Athens, East Greenbush, Greenville, Hoosic Valley, Hudson, Ichabod Crane, New Lebanon, Rensselaer, Schodack and Troy. ​
