I graduated from Berlin High School in 2012, and then went on to SUNY Potsdam. I graduated from SUNY Potsdam with a degree in Childhood/Early Childhood Education and a concentration in Chemistry. I completed my Student Teaching at Dorothy Nolan in grades Kindergarten and 5th in Saratoga Springs. I am currently a graduate student at UAlbany for Special Education and Literacy Instruction.

What is your background like – previous jobs?

Before coming back to Berlin, I was a substitute teacher at New Lebanon Central School District where I covered a maternity leave for 5th and 6th grade Math.

Tell us about your family?

I have a younger brother who just graduated from Tompkins Cortland Community College with a degree in Environmental Science. My mother is a Teacher’s Aid for Questar and my father works with petroleum products.

What are your interests outside of school?

Outside of school, I love the outdoors. I enjoy hiking and spending time near water. I swam all through high school and for a year in college. I currently co-coach a summer swim league and am also the Chief Lifeguard at Grafton Lakes State Park.
