Students with parachute on PE fun dayChildren enjoyed a lively time inside and out during Berlin Elementary School’s PE Fun Day on June 9th. There was rock wall climbing and popsicles in the gym, basketball on the court, and on the fields activities like team kickball, capture the football, tug-of-war, sack races, egg and spoon races, parachute games, the sponge bucket brigade (where students raced to fill their team’s bucket with water using only a sponge) and let’s not forget about the bouncy house!

In the art room, students took a journey inwards by imagining what the inside of a castle might look like while they listened to the music of Disney’s Fantasia and drawing what they saw in their  heads.

PE Fun Day is an annual event at BES and was organized by our Physical Education teachers Kasson Sauer and Stacy Sausville. Grades 2-5 participated in the morning events, while grades k-2 participated in the afternoon.
